ZUBEEN GARG: Why this painting is going Viral?

Painting has always been a way of expressing one's emotions or imprinting someone's memory on a piece of canvas. Some people stroke their brush on canvas because it is his/her hobby, while others do it to depict their deepest emotions. But the protagonist of this article has a different approach towards his painting and choice of his canvas is unorthodox too.

Recently this painting has been the topic of discussion in social media and even it was successful in getting media coverage. But Why.

But before learning about this painting, and the man behind this magnificent art, let's have an insight into the story behind this amazing piece of art. The painting you are seeing is a portrait of the famous Assamese/ Bollywood singer Zubeen Garg or the singer of the song "Ya Ali" (movie Gangster).

Zubeen Garg's popularity in Assam is just the same as Late Dr Bhupen Hazarika. The heartthrob singer/actor cum composer has not limited himself only to music and acting, he has also made his name for himself as a motivator and as a philanthropist by helping out people during their trouble times. He was also a prominent voice during Anit-CAA agitation, unlike many other artists.

But the question is who is the artist behind this elegant masterpiece?

His name is NEELIM MAHANTA a fine-arts dropout. A dedicated and a very hardworking young blood, who converted his hobby into a passion. He has been travelling all around Assam and leaving a mark wherever he goes, with his creative hands. He is also a kind of motivation for many upcoming young Assamese, as he has inspired and helped many young ones to realise what it means to follow one's passion.
Mahanta halfway through the Zubeens's painting.

Upon asking, why did he choose to paint? He simply answered, life is like a canvas... what matters is which colour you add to make it bright!!!

The painting didn't take much time to get viral in social media. And when it got the media coverage, people from nearby areas and nearby districts started to pour in, just to have a glance at the painting.

Location of painting: Nalkota, North Lakhimpur bypass, Lakhimpur, Assam.
